Karkala; Nov 26: Under the leadership of rural police superintendent Mahadeva Shetty and his team arrested five people including a woman in Nitte Nandalike Golikatte-Nellikatte vicinity, who were engaged in gambling.
The arrested have been identified as Shivakumar, Venkatesh, Murthy, Appayya and Nirmala.
Based on the confirmed tip off police have raided the place where arrested people were gambling and arrested them. Police also recovered Rs 3465,kept for gambling and items used for gambling from them
A case has been registered in this regard in Karkala rural police station.
