Kundapur; Nov 26: In the wake of number of drivers under the influence of alcohol were increased, under the direction of SP Dr.Boralingayya and under the leadership of DYSP C.B.Patil ‘drink and drive check ‘ has been conducted in various parts of the city on Nov 24, Sunday night. During this drive, many drivers under the influence of liquor have been trapped in the net of police and many those who have been escaped were stopped and tested.
With the help of alcometre, police could verify the amount of alcohol consumed by the drivers and accordingly imposed penalty on them. After feeling the pinch of the penalty, some of the drunken drivers started telling that no more drive under the influence of liquor.
This drink and drive check was jointly conducted by Byndoor, Amavasyebail and Kundapur traffic police personnel.
