Udupi; Nov 25: Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in the process of accountability and transparency in the work place and to persuade gramapanchayat, sign board on the wall at central places of grampacnhayt and name board at work places should be mandatory says ombudsman.
He further said that during his visit to gramapanchayats, absence of information board (guidance board) at central places of wall of grampanchayat and name board at work places is breach of act.
Therefore he warned that it is inevitable to take the action against the panchayat development officers and executive officers who failed to adhere to the norms in putting information wall (sign board) at central places and name plate at work places under project’s section 25.
