Kundapur; Nov 21: High school boys and girls district level ball badminton sports event, organized jointly by public education department, District academic assistant director’s office and S.T.V womens pre-degree college, Karkala was held recently.
In this competition, government high school, Moodugiliyaru, Kota girl’s team has bagged first place and thereby selected continuously for the fourth time in Mysore division level. In boy’s category Kundapur zone government high school Kaalavara team has bagged first place
K.P.Shenoy, convener of S.T.V.educational institute has inaugurated the programe by lighting the traditional lamp in the morning.
In the function, district physical education director Seethanadi Vittala Shetty,Usha Shenoy,president of former student’s sangha,senior assistant professor Krishnaveni,Karkala taluk physical education inspector Babu Poojary,Udupi taluk physical education inspector Basavaraj,Brahmavar taluk physical education inspector Madhukar S were present.
In the valedictory function in the evening district physical education director Seethanadi Vittala Shetty distributed the prizes to the winners. Senior assistant professor Krishnaveni, Karkala taluk physical education inspector Babu Poojary, Udupi taluk physical education inspector Basavaraj, Brahmavar Physical education inspector Madhukar S were present. Physical training instructor Smt Priya Prabhu compered the programme.
