Belthangady, Nov. 20: The all family of bellow poverty line in the taluk will get BPL card soon. Regarding to this we took strict action. And also will appeal to the chief minister to provide rice in low rate to the APL card holders also said MLA K. Vasanth Bangera.
He spoke at the distribution function of the 500 BPL card and Rs. 25 Lacs as the compensation for the fruit route disease held at Taluk panchayat auditorium Belthangady on Tuesday Nov. 19.
He further said that Through the BPL card all the houses of poor people get electricity under the Rajeev Gandhi Power Project of government. This scheme is a free service to the needed.
This year more farmers were suffered from fruit route diseases for areca nut, so the government pan to give highest money for the suffered. Already the govt. distributed Rs. 3 Lacs, if any affected farmers remaining to get money he requested them to apply for the compensation soon.
Taluk Panchayat president Keshava M., officials Mahanthesh, ZP assistant engineer C.R. Narendra, Purandara Heggade and Praksh were present.
