Kundapur: Union bank, celebrates 95th Foundation day celebration; depositors, customers backbone of bank-K J Hegde

Kundapur; Nov 11: 95^th Foundation day celebration of Union bank, Kundapur branch was celebrated on Nov 11, Monday in the premises of bank, near Kundapur’s new bus stand.

Speaking on the occasion Jayaprakash Hegde, MP said in his speech that in this competitive world, through healthy competition with other nationalized banks, union bank is reaching to the people.

The customers and depositors are the pillars of the bank and it is possible only through their patronage and co-operation, bank can see the path of prosperity. It is happy to note that in todays time even the man from extreme point coming to vanguard in terms of banking transactions. Union bank is performing its duty in homely atmosphere and vying to become one of the largest banks, he said.

Kota Shreenivasa Poojary, Vidhana Parishat member while speaking said that this was inaugurated by Gandhi and warm and intentness of the memories emanate during this occasion. Though it is difficult to attract depositors and customers in this world of competition with other nationalized banks and thirty three thousand co-operative seva banks, union bank through its dedicated and sincere service could able to take the customers and depositors into confidence, he said.

Addressing the occasion, Suhas Badgaonkar managing director of the bank has said that 95 year’s back the bank was established in Mumbai on November 11.

^{The main purpose of the bank was to become the first bank to serve the various needs of the customers in different fields. In this context by opening more than 3500 branches and more than 5000 ATM centres union bank has played an important role in the economic progress of the country, he opined}

Shreenivas Prabhu, owner of the building, Nelyady Shivarama Shetty, owner of the ATM centre have been felicitated on behalf of the bank on the occasion.

Smt.Kalavathi,corporation president,Yogeeshvara sub divisional officer, Bank’s deputy manager K.P.Acharya,Kundapur branch’s manager Radhika Prabhu were present.
