Belthangady, Nov.8: A KSRTC bus travelling from Harihara towards crashed against a tree at Nidigal here during the wee hours of November 7, Thursday. leaving 25 passengers injured.
The accident occurred at around 5.30 am. Sources claim that the driver lost control and as a result the bus rammed into the tree. The injured were moved to a private hospital in Mangalore in six ambulances.
Sources said the ambulances arrived at the spot hours after the mishap.The 108 Ambulance of Vittal didnot respond despite it was the closest spot of the accident, which in turn irked the locals.
Some of the injuries are Nagaraj (Driver ), Revanappa ,conductor (30), Dasahavetha Hospet (28), Anusha Hospete, Durgappa Hubli (20), Basavaraj Hospete (40), Anand Dharwad( 25),Nagaraj harihara(50), Chandrakanth Honnanagara (25), Pratap Therikere (27), Manju Ranibennuru ( 23), Malathesh, Manjappa, Satyanarayana (43), Basavaraj Haveri (42), Naganna Gowda Haveri (29), girish Shimoga (25), Nagaraj Haveri (34), Bhaskar Bellary (35), Hanumantha Gadaga (18).
