Pusthi Ayurvedic Biscuit will be distributed to children below five years by the Ayush department. These biscuits will build immunity; improve digestion and concentration among children said U.T.Khadar, minister for health and family welfare.
He further said that these biscuits will also help in combating malnutrition. These biscuits will be provided to children in all anganwadis located in a Taluk which is facing the problem of malnutrition. The scheme which will be launched on pilot basis will soon be launched in other Taluks as well based on the results.
The samples of the biscuits have been tested and the name of the Taluk where the biscuits where it will be distributed will be announced soon.he added.
The funds for the scheme are utilized from National Rural Health Mission, minister said.
