Kasargod, Oct. 24: Kumble police have arrested two drug peddlers who were transporting ganja in a jeep and seized ganja weighing 2.5 kg from them.
The arrested are George (43) from Idukki and V V Santhosh (31). They got arrested near the NH Bridge at Kumble on Tuesday, October 22.
The police had stopped the vehicle on suspicion and questioned them, but they dint give proper answer. The police grew suspicious and searched the vehicle. Then the ganja was found in a small compartment under the seat of their jeep.
The interrogation of the accused revealed that they used to supply ganja to several places in Kasargod including Uppala, Pachambala and Bandyodu.
