Udupi; Oct 15: A three days honey bee cultivation training workshop was arranged at Kukkehalli Village Panchayat auditorium starting from 08.10.2013 to 10.10.2013.
On Oct 08, Gopi.K.Nayak, member of Perdur district panchayat has inaugurated the programme.Kukkehalli village panchayat president Kiran Kumar Hegde presided over the function.
Chief guests like an experienced honey bee cultivation training instructor Mumtaz Ali,Udupi district Panchayat senior co-ordinator horticulture director Sadashiva Rao,department’s honey bee exhibitor V.K.Belli Pemmayya have participated in the programme.
On Oct 09, Kaup Khairulla, an experienced honey bee cultivator has given a direct practical training on honey bee cultivation.Ashwath Hebbar, an expert in the field has given practical training in his garden.
On Oct 10, department’s honey bee exhibitor V.K.Bellipemmayya has explained about the honey box, different types of honey bees and the method of extracting honey through machine.
In the valedictory function, the certificates have been issued symbolically to the people who have attended the workshop.
Kiran Kumar, President Kukkehalli village panchayat has presided over the valedictory function.
Nandish, Grama Panchayat welfare administrator, while speaking said in his address that people should avail the facilities of the government.
