Mangalore, Oct. 11: The writer Na D’Souza honouredwith Karanta Award at the 112th Birth Anniversary celebration of Dr. Shivaram Karanth, organized by Dakshina Kannada Sahitya Parishath and Kalkura Pratistana at Town Hall here on October 10th Thursday.
After receiving the award in his speech he said that today many industries are entering to India, which did not get any opportunities in abroad. These projects are already entered in coastal. If continuous in future the environment, the greenery of Dakshina Kannada will loss he said.
District in charge minister and forest minister B. Ramnath Rai inaugurate the function. Senior Litterateur Erya Lakshmi Narayan Alva presided over the function. MLA J.R. Lobo was the chief guest.
The president of Dakshina Kannada Sahitya Parishath and Kalkura Pratistana Pradeep Kumar Kalkura welcomed the gathering.
