Eight Traveller Caught at Airport with 1000 Cigarette Packs

Mangalore, Oct 5: Eight passengers who trying to smuggle cigarettes worth Rs one lac were caught by the officials of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Mangalore branch on Saturday Oct. 5 at Mangalore International Airport.

The identities of the passengers are not yet known. The sources said that they hail from Kasargod.

The eight were come from Dubai by Air India flight on Saturday morningand here they caught by the officials.

It is said that the officials seized 1000 packets of cigarettes worth Rs one lac from the accused.

Further investigations are on.
