Mangalore, Oct.2: The deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada N. Prakash visited to Pacchanady waste disposal unit for the inspection.
The DC directs the contractor to make changes in the solid waste disposal unit which was made by scientific way. Compared to last 3 months the percentage of collected wastage this time is too low. To dispose the collection of solid waste should implement the technical machines within the week he said.
To control the flies in the unit he said to put the pesticides and told them to give the report within 3 days.
Then he visited the unit of sanitary land fill and suggest the contractor that there should be a need of scientific camping of the solid waste. And also he said to insert the pipeline to flow the waste water directly from the compost plant to the unit.
He informed the forest officers to plantation of 3000 plants in the surroundings of the Unit and also around the MCC play ground.
The additional DC, commissioner MCC, deputy commissioners of MCC (Development and Revenue), environmental pollution control unit officers, health officers of MCC, forest officers were present in the occasion.
