Bantwal, Sep 21: Various organizations staging protest rally on Sept. 30 at block office of B.C. Road, against the doctors of Saraswati Nursing Home of Bantwal, who is responsible for the death of Shakunthala who was admitted to this hospital in for her delivery.
Shakuntala was admitted to the hospital on Thursday due to labour pains. The doctors at the hospital failed to give her proper treatment resulting in her death. They gave many tablets, and injection which take her to coma stage. Then also the doctors did not inform the family members. When they are helpless then they suggests the family members to take her to Mangalore. There was no oxygen facility in the ambulance said the president of committee Lokesh Shanthi at the press meet.
He further said that we decided to stage a protest rally from Polali Kaikamba to block office on September 30 for demanding appropriate legal action towards Saraswati Nursing Home and their administration. This rally includes people from various caste, religion and nearly 50 organisations.
We are demanding for proper compensation to the family of victim. And also demanding the construction of the multi specialty hospital at B. C. Road. If we do not get justice will continue our protest till we get justice he added.
The leaders of various organisations Sesappa Kotyan, Baby Kundar, Kanchalakshi, Shek Abdul Razak, Shridhar Amin, Shivappa Bangera and others were present in the press meet.
