Missing Girl found dead at Bolar, Students protest at Wenlock Hospital

Mangalore, Sep 26: The body of 18 year old girl who went missing on Saturday September 21 was found dead at Bolar.

The deceased has been identified as Akshatha, daughter of Vishwanath and Rajivi from Adyar. She is second BCom student in a college at Car Street.

Sources said that Akshata had left home on Saturday telling her family that she had to attend a special class in college. However, she did not return home.

Akshatha’s father filed a missing complaint in the Kankanady Rural police station.

The body was found near a riverside on Tuesday September 24, but the family members came to know the next day. On Thursday September 26 morning, the body was taken to Wenlock for post-mortem.

Pandeshwar police have registered a case and investigation is on.

Student’s protests in front of Wenlock Hospital: Hearing about the death of Akshatha the students from Car street College, University College and ABVP staged a protest in front of the Wenlock Hospital. They demanded for the further investigation. And they appealed for the impartial post-mortem report.

Nalin Kumar Visit the Hospital: Addressing the media MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that this case will investigate soon. The police will take action towards people who involved in this case. The police department also should be very careful about these type of issue. And also he said that if the principal find this kind of activity in college, very soon they should inform it to their parents he added.
