Udupi: Ministers observe loopholes in the Stadium – Plan to improve facilities ASAP

Udupi; Sept 24: Addressing the media reporters during his visit to Ajjerakadu stadium, Abhayachandra Jain, minister for youth welfare and sports affairs said in his speech that as the ball badminton game is disappearing, ministry is planning to construct ball badminton court again along with basket ball court.

He further said that there are some deficiencies in the stadium. We have to bring some changes in the synthetic track and swimming pool. Approval for the construction of 25 feet swimming pool has been obtained. Even wooden flooring of indoor games stadium has completely been damaged and Rs 25 lac is needed for the repair of this indoor stadium and assured that I will get it done through department.

Even I got an inquisitiveness in the payment of stadium’s head light’s electricity bill. Works on adventure water force in 3 acres of tank in Mannupalla will be started within a month time. Works on synthetic tracks will be resumed in the month of November and rectify some of the deficiencies and will be completed by March, 2014.

Addressing the media, Vikas Kumar, Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports affairs said in his address that works on synthetic track is being carried out and total expenditure for the same would be around Rs 3.75 crore.
