Mangalore, Sep 24: The central relief survey team who came to Dakshina Kannada to survey the place which gets damaged by the heavy rain fall, were commenced a meeting at DC office here on Tuesday 24th September.

Secretary of Central Home Ministry R.K Shreevasthsav presided over the meeting. Sanjay Garg (Region Officer of transport and highway department), Muralidhar (senior research officer of Planning Commission Delhi) and Manohar (Deputy Director of Tobacco development) were there in the team.

In the heavy rain fall at DK 18 people lost their life. 16 animals died. 909 houses, 72 acres   agricultural farms, 547.35 km roads, 37 bridges, 21 small irrigation constructions were damaged said DC N. Prakash.

Deputy DC Dayanand K.A, SEO Tulsi Maddineni, assistant commissioner Dr. Prashanth were present.
