Kasargod, Sep 17: Kasargod bundh on Tuesday Septmber 17, for the murder of a CPM worker on Monday night, September 16 at Uduma Mangad here.
CPM worker M B Balakrishna (45), a tempo driver by profession, who was brutally stabbed by some anonymous assaulter when he was returning home by bike at around 9 pm, near a school.
A few locals who found Balakrishna lying in a pool of blood rushed him to Kasargod hospital. But his life could not be saved. After that the body was taken to Pariyaram Medical College hospital.
After spreading the news, minor clashes blow up at the spot, but the situation was quickly brought under control of police. On Tuesday, entire Kasargod observed a bandh, with shops remaining closed and buses and other vehicles staying off the road. Kasargod will remain closed till 6 pm.
