Udupi; September 01: Inaugurating the “Sonadha Sese” programme, organized jointly by Tulu Koota and Rashtriya seva Sangha unit at tulu sangha’s girl’s pre-degree college premises on September 01, Sunday, Pramodh Madhwaraj MLA said in his address that with regard to our Tulu culture, understanding tulu language and culture is the need of the hour. Culture which was taught by our ancestors must be continued by our youths, he said.
He further said that Tulu culture is rich culture and responsibility of saving it, is with us. Out of 1500 languages in the country, 300 languages have been already perished. We have failed in understanding the Tulu culture and got full of dilemma, confusion and suspicion in observing our festivals, celebrations.How many words are there in language? These were all made by human beings, that means ancient people were wiser than us, he added.
