Mangalore, August 30: Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan’s birth anniversary and teachers’ day celebration will be celebrated in joint association with Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, Public Education Department and Teachers day celebration committee and Teachers welfare fund at Town hall on September 5 at 9.30 am, said Regional education officer Lokesh. C.
Addressing the media persons, he said that Lok Sabha member Nalin Kumar Kateel will be inaugurating the function and Mangalore South MLA J. R Lobo will preside over the function.
Minister K. Abhay Chndra Jain, MLA Mohiyuddin Bava, Captian Ganesh karnik, Monappa Bhandary, Rithesh Shetty, Taluk Panchayat president K. Harish Kumar, D.K Panchayat members Eshwar Kateel, Asha Suvarna will be the chief guests of the programme. Officio Joint commissioner and Principal Philomena Lobo and MCC commissioner S. Ajith Kumar Hegde will be the honourary chief guests of the function. On the occasion there will be facilitation to retired teachers, he said.
