Rashid Malbari sentenced to 5 years of rigorous imprisonment and fine

Mangalore, August 29: Rashid Malbari, a close aide of underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim, who has been arrested under possession of weapons, has been punished by the 4th Additional sessions court of Mangalore, here today.

Malabari along with his aide Mohammed Haseen had been arrested for possessing illegal weapons, earlier in 2009 from Chattanchal near Kasargod in Kerala. Being under judicial custody from then, has been granted 5 years of imprissionemnt from the additional session’s court. Judge M N Nayak declared the punishment.

Both have been grantd imprissionemnt for 5 years and Rs 11,500 fine, failed to which additional 1 year imprissionemnt has been declared theroff.

After his judicial custody, he has been in the mangalore sub jail from nearly 4.5 years. It is also learnt that he has been involved in 43 variosu criminal offences in Bangalore, Mumbai, Mangalore and other places.

He has been also charged of being a prime role of sketch to the murder of various VIP’s of the district. His name has been also murmured with relation to Surathkal Double Murder case and therevare chances of him being taken into possession, once he is out after the punishment.

Reacting to the media outside the court, Malabari said that he is innocent and he has been accused with the foul game played by RSS leaders Mohan Bhagavath and Kalladka Prabhakar bhat.

CCB Inspector has fixed me in this cases, under the guidance of the RSS leaders, I will look after him, once am out from Jail, he said.
