Mangalore, August 13: Dakshina Kannada deputy Commissioner N. Prakash suggested that nation’s Independence symbol three colour flag must not hoist at wishing spot. Based on 16/ 1/2002 rules, chances given to every Indians, private institutions, organisation and educational institutions are permitted to hoist the flag and every one must save the purity of the flag, by giving the respect, he said.

‘On 15th August, the flag must be hoist after sunrise and should land before sunset. Tarred, colourless, wrinkle wrinkled and dirty flags must not hoist and if the national flag used as common dress, then user will be punished. The hoisted flag must see clearly, must not touch the land and should not put in the water. No one should make the insult to flag, if insult done they will be punished soon and public must give the complaint against such cases. He also told to give the complaint to assistant commissioner or inform to D.C office toll free number 1022.
