Karkala; August 13: Addressing the gathering in “wonder world” information meet organized by MNDSM aided high school Prof.Janardhan Iddya,retired scientist,ISRO said in his address that without falling prey to the modern life style, our responsibility is to allow all the living organisms to live in this environment.
He further said that after understanding the miracles of science, one should utilize those wonders for the progress of the nation and contribution of the science is immense, he added.
Besides, he also told that rockets and satellites to be utilized properly for the progress of the country in the field of communication, education, health, scientific rain measurement and during flooding etc.
Prof.Ramesh Bhat, Professor, Physics department, Karkala Bhuvanendra College and Vijnana Vedhike secretary, had a comprehensive discourse on Aakashagange, planets, sun, moon, comets and miracles of the solar planetary system and answered all the questions posed by the students.
Govinda Adiga,President,Karkala taluk Fellow lecturers association,Balladi Chandrashekar Bhat,lecturers guide,Smt Anusha,President,Parisara Sangha were amongst the present. Indira Baayari, Principal welcomed the gathering, Shymala Kotary compered the programme and Mahesh Naik proposed a vote of thanks.
