Mangalore, Aug 10:”Aatidonji Dina”, a unique program was organized by the Karanataka Rajya Devadiga Sangha ®, along with Women’s Association and Youth Association, here on Friday, August 9, in the Devadiga Samaja Bhavana, Gandhinagara, Mannagudda.
Harish Sherigar president of Dubai Devadiga Sangha, Dubai based businessmen and director of ACME vision, inaugurated the program by lighting the auspicious lamp. Speaking after the inauguration, he said that there is a need to introduce few of our extincting cultre and tradition to our next generation, through this sort of program. It is laudable that the Karnataka Devadiga Sangha has been organizing these sorts of programs.
Aati month has got its own specialities. The food habitats of this month are very much necceasry in our life, as we are moving towards modernization. The youths must organize these sort of programs and see through it that the flavor and the specification f Aati is being spread across to our next generations and not let it extinct.
Chief Secretary of the association S Ramachandra Devadiga welcomed and delivered the key-note address. Harish Sherigara nd other well-known people of the society are the prime reason and the back bone strength to organize these sorts of program. Let the kindheartedness and financial aid given by Harish Sherigar be role model to others in the society. Harish Sherigar has been helping the poor and financially backward students to come up in life, which is also laudable, he said.
The demonstration of Aati kalenja was performed by Tudar kala Vedike, Pavanje.

The program was then celebreated in an unique manner by distributing the specila aati dishes to the gatherings, which has been prepared by the members of the association themselves. Hundreds of varieties of dishes attracted the gatherings.
