Kundapur; August 08: A case of assault on traffic police on duty by the miscreants has been reported in Parijatha circle, Kundapur on August 07, Wednesday.
The accused who have committed assault on traffic police have been identified as Ranjith, resident of Kundapur church road, Chethan Mogaveera and Naveen and victim of the attack has been identified as Manjunatha.
Sources said that inebriated trio was on triple ride in their bike when they have been asked to stop by the traffic police as they were violating the traffic rules but trio ignored his call and proceeded ahead.It was at this stage, when traffic police stopped them, the traffic police was assaulted mercilessly by the trio.
Kundapur police have taken the trio to the custody and inquiry is in progress.
