Environment preservation is our duty: B Ramanatha Rai

Mangalore, August 3: ‘Every human being must give the important to forest preservation as equal to consumption of food and should have concern towards environment protection’ said Dakshna Kannda in charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai.



He was speaking after inaugurating the state level’Laksha Vruksha Abhiayana’, jointly organised by Karntakata Forest department- Mangalore division, Karnataka environment and biology department and Karnataka state emission control board, he said that environment preservation is our duty and if plant species are destructed, then adversely affect the life of animals and human being. Hence sampling plantation is should not only be symbolic, but also effective. ‘Plant sampling must be people friendly. In western ghat and in plain area, samples will be planted, which will grow in that environment, hence every one need cooperate to this project, he said.






Chief guest D.V Sadananda Gowda said that we present several about environment protection but need to observe the concern towards it. To become a successful programme, that should be people friendly and must be social work, he said. ‘If any project crosses its limit, it will cause for imbalance and imbalance will be effect to human life, he warned.


‘Now a day’s elephant’s attacks are increasing, hence before putting accusation, must take necessary method’, he said.


The achievers in the environment field Madhava Ullal, P S Hasanabba, Jeeth Roz were honoured with’ Aranya Mithra’ award on the occasion.

College students conducted a rally on environment preservation from from Jyothi circle.
