Karkala; July 30: Gurupoornima Mahotsava was celebrated in the premises of Shree Ramakrishna Ashrama in a great fervour, Bailur. Shree Vinayakanandaji swamiji of Ashram has performed all the Vedic rituals connected to Gurupoornima.
While speaking after the celebration and gracing the occasion,Swamiji said that courage, bravery, resourcefulness,satisfaction,devotion,faith,social service, sacrifice etc are to be given due importance to ensure that there is no dearth for leading a model life and necessity of teaching the children about spirituality is the responsibility of parents and society, he said.
Along with early morning’s Suprabhatha from Anthevasis, Vedapata Sthavana Shushravya bahajan was held on the occasion. Thereafter Bhajan programme was held by local Bhajan Mandalies.
