Udupi, July 25: The Amasebailu police have arrested four men for the charges against illegal trafficking of cattle here in Macchattu in Kundapur taluk.
According to police the detained people were transporting two male calves tied inhumanly to a truck and were caught red handed near Tombattu bridge in Macchattu.
The arrested include Aboobakar aged 38 from Katipalla in Mangalore, Tousif aged 25 from Katipalla in Mangalore, Babu Poojary aged 48 from Shankarnarayana and Uday Poojary from Macchattu.
A case is registered in Amasebailu police station.
