Mangalore, July 11: In a shocking incident goods train which was stationed at MCF yard for loading chemical fertilizers entered NH 66 by breaking the barricades on Wednesday, July 10.
The train which was stationed at the MCF yard, much to the surprise of people moved on the reverse all of a sudden and gatecrashed and almost entered NH 66.
However the presence of mind of train crew averted any major disaster by applying sudden brakes. It was believed that the coupling joint between the engine and compartments had developed a technical snag, resulting an incident.
It was also said that at the time of incident, even gate was not closed by the security personnel, which they usually close once the train arrived.
