Billawas community of UAE in association with Precious party and entertainment will present Family day celebration, which will be include a fun filled day of Billawa’s cultural program 2015 on October 23 Friday at Jumeirah ball room hall at Crowne Plaza Hotel Sheikh Zayed Road Dubai.

The fun filled event will include fun, dance, games and nonstop musical extravaganza. The celebration has main attraction with cultural shows from artists from coastal Karnataka.
Karnikada Mantra Devathe tulu Yakshagana play will present under team lead by Prabhakar Suvarna.

and Bale Telipale fame Umesh Mijar and team will present Telikeda Gonchil comedy session during the celebration.

Mr. Satish Poojary chief of Billawas community released the flyer to media and requested everybody to be a part of the event. He said the celebration will begins at 10AM to 5.30PM where local and guest artists will showcase their talents in front of our community.

She has had her early education at Mangalore and then went on to pursue her studies at NIMHANS, Bangalore. She has more than 25 years of Teaching experience and is Currently working as Professor of PG Dept at Roshni Nilaya Mangalore.

Dr. Rameela is also a practicing Child and Adolescent Mental Health Professional and has in the process treated many children, adolescents and family’s with psychological, academic, emotional problems.

She has conducted more than 250 programmes for students, parents, and teachers, and members of various Government and Corporate sectors on family life, family relationships, child mental health, healthy personality stress management, HIV/AIDS and other related topics in various districts of Karnataka. She has been a resource person in many radio and TV programme focusing on child and adolescent mental health issues.

Has also presented a number of research papers in various local, state, national and International conferences, to name a few, at Mysore, Trichy ,Mumbai, Delhi, Malaysia and Hong Kong, Korea . Has also won the best paper presenter award at two consecutive seminars of the ISPSW National conferences at Mysore and Trichy. Is also invited all over the state as a resource person on issues related to child and adolescent mental health and family relationships . Organising Secretary of an International Conference on “Women and Mental Health” on October 2010.

She has contributed many articles and research papers in various journals souvenirs and at present is also involved with research with university of Cornell , USA and Flinders university , Australia. She has authored three books . She is currently working on a manual for Teachers and Parents on Child Mental Health.

She is a member of many local , national and international organizations -to name a few, Life member of Mangalore Management Association, National Institute of Personal Management, Indian Society of Professional social workers, Indian association of child and adolescent mental health and Association of Psychological and Educational Counselors of Asia.

She is also a committee member of many schools and organisations dealing with children and families. She has been appointed by the Karnataka state AIDS prevention society as the Supportive supervisory team member for HIV Counsellors of DK and Udupi Dist. She is appointed 2nd time as the Juvenile Justice Board member for DK ,Udupi and Karwar Dist. She is also appointed as a Member of the Mental Health Authority board for Karnataka by the state Government. She is a Co Investigator in the Project of Psycho Social Support for survivors and families of Victims of Mangalore Air Crash in Collaboration with NIMHANS, Bangalore , sponsored by NDMA, New Delhi.

She was a significant contributor to the National Disaster management Guidelines brought out by the NDMA, Government of India. Was also the Expert Member of the report on Development of Advocacy, Training Kits and Simplified Coding Manual for the Family of International Classification.

Her special areas of interest include working with children adolescents and related areas and conducting preventive and promotive programmes for children, adolescents and families.
