Mangaluru, October 9: An Omni car caught fire at a petrol bunk at Capitanio here on Thursday October 8th.
The Omni car had been to the petrol bunk to fill LPG. Soon after filling, the driver turned on the ignition and the car immediately caught fire. The car driver immediately got out and fled away.
The staffs who were there, pushed the vehicle out of the petrol bunk and started dousing the fire using extinguishers.
Fire personnel rushed to the spot and managed to extinguish the fire.
When this incident occurred, a gas tanker was also in the premises for unloading fuel, it is said.
