Mangaluru, September 22: Led by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, the district BJP protested here against the Congress government over power shortage in the state on Tuesday September 21st.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel addressing the protesters said, the congress government has hurt the sentiments of the people of Karnataka by initiating Yettinahole project and Kalasa Banduri Nala project. The Karnataka government has no vision for the future. Dasara festival, and students exams are approaching, but the government has not found solution to the electricity problem.
Even during the power of BJP was in the state, there was electricity problem but the then chief minister B S Yeddyurappa took the initiative to buy power from other states. But the Congress government has failed to do it. If such situation prevails now, what will be the extent of power cuts during the summer season?” he queried.
