Mangaluru, September 21: Former union Minister Janardhan Poojary said that the Yettinahole Project is a project to loot the government’s treasury by misguiding the Chief Minister.
Addressing a press meet at the district Congress office here on Monday September 21st, Poojary slammed former Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda and said he is cheating the people of Chikkaballapur and Kolar.
You have given report stating that 24TMC water is available, but only 9.7 TMC’s water is available there. Why do you tell lies to the people?, queried Poojary.
For your personal welfare, will you immerse Mangaluru in the sea?, queried Poojary and alleged that Yettinahole project is not done for supplying water, it is a plan to loot the government’s treasury in the project’s name. Plan has been done to loot Rs 13 crores by giving wrong information to the people about the project, he said.
Massive protest is witnessed against the Yettinahole project across Dakshina Kannada district and now with the opposition of Former Minister Janardhan Poojary to this project, it appears as though the protesters have gained more strength.
