Moodbidri, September 21: Deadly attack took place on the two youths riding a bike by a group of six men at Handelusuttu, Puttige Village near Moodbidri on the morning of Sunday, September 20th.
The injured are identified as Vasu Aacharya (32) and Ashok (30), residents of Naravi.
It is gathered that two youths had been for playing the band during the procession of immersion of Ganesh near Kulshekar. While they were returning on a bike in the early morning on Sunday, team of six unknown men followed them in three bikes and stopped the duo youths near Handelusuttu and attacked them with deadly weapons before fleeing the spot.
Immediately, the locals with the help of other publics admitted the two youths to hospital in Mangaluru.
The Moodbidre police arrived at the spot, and filed a case. Further investigations are on.
