Mangalore: The parents of the hanging victim allege that this death of an youngster Pramila is a conspiracy & planned killing and that their daughter is brave and not at all could contemplate suicide.
Father of the victim Ammu Poojary was speaking to the media at the Wenlock Mortuary and continued to state that she was very bright student and she has shifted from her native Dolpady village Puttur taluk to Mangalore after her PUC at Kaniyoor Govt College to further her studies. She was staying at a hostel near Kadri and that she was even doing a part time job he recounted the story with sadness.
Earlier on Tuesday the body of a teenage girl was found hanging from a tree in a secluded wooded area opposite Kadri Park under Mangalore east (Kadri) police station limits here.
Police identified the victim as Pramila, 18, aresident of Puttur based on a cellphone found near the body. The victim could have ended her life almost 48 hours ago as the body had started decomposing, BT Kavitha, Mangalore city sub-division ACP said.
Police also recovered three membership cards from near the body belonging to the victim. “She is believed to be working in a private cafe in the city and this is being verified,” ACP said, adding that police were able to identify the victim based on phone calls made to her relatives using the contacts in the phone. “We are awaiting the arrival of her relatives,” Kavita said, adding a case of unnatural death has been registered in the east police stations.
