Addressing the gathering later, he said the number of donors in the society has rised. The well to do people should come forward to extend help to the needy. If there is interest, none of the works are impossible. Scanty of opportunities are available for the education. The parents should support the students. Along with this, in order to support the higher education of the students, the organizations should come forward, said K V Devadiga giving a call.
Chief guest on the occasion, Harish Sherigar, entrepreneur, donor, as well as a noted singer, president of Dubai Devadigara Sangha addressing the gathered and said, we are providing the scholarships from a very long time through this association. But in the former days due to lack of funds, we count not extend more support to the students. But on the same dais, about seven year ago, I had spoke about the necessity of education and firmly decided to render more service towards the education, and also to support the education of students from economically poor back ground. From that day till date, I am extending financial support and encouraging the students who come from economically poor back ground, said Harish Sherigar.
The culture of our country is not seen anywhere else. In our country, the children take care of their parents during their old age. The children are given responsibility in their young age and they are trained to take responsibility throughout their life. Long ago, the days were very difficult. But now there are scanty of opportunities in all the fields. In this view, the students must put more efforts and perform well in their curriculum and hand in hand must also bring out their talents. If poverty comes as an obstacle to the achievements of the students, our association is always ready to extend support to such students, said Harish Sherigar.
Parents have to take children’s responsibility:
Harish Sherigar expressed grief over the sad demise of student Akshata Devadiga who was murdered recently by miscreants. Our law system is not appropriate. In this view, the parents must take more responsibility of their children. Everyone must take care of their children. The children too must carefully move forward, suggested Harish Sherigar.
