Husband’s missing cracked: Murdered by wife’s paramour

Sullia, July 30: Jayananda Gowda (54), a resident of Koothkunja village near Panja who went missing mysteriously has been found dead. The police have informed that this is a murder and have arrested three persons in relation to the case.

Jayananda’s wife Leela, her paramour Dhananjay and accomplices, Chandrakanth, Dinesh and Chinthan are the accused in the case.

Jayananda Gowda who left home on his bike on July 14th went missing. On July 16th, a case was registered at Subramanya Police station. The mysterious missing paved way for many suspicions. The relatives and the villagers had launched a search for him. It is said, on July 14th Jayananada had called his brother Kaniyur Vishwanatha and had said that he will visit Kuvethady and would come home. But later it was learnt that Jayananda had neither visited his brother nor had returned home. Hence a search was launched to find Jayananda.

On July 16th, Jayananda’s bike was found in Nettaru near Bellare, but no other clues were available. It was learnt that on the night of which Jayananda went missing, a jeep had followed him and collided to his bike from behind and had sped away. This incident had aroused many suspicions.

It is said, Jayananda used to mingle with all the people and was a down to earth person. Hence the villagers had pressurized the police to crack the case.

Sullia circle inspector took Dhananjay as suspect and questioned him. Later Chandrakanth, Dinesh and Chinthan were also interrogated who revealed the entire murder case. After learning about the illicit relationship of Lalitha, a clash had taken place between the couple and this was the reason behind the murder, informed the police.

Guided by Dakshina Kannada superintendent of police Dr S D Sharanappa, Sullia police circle inspector Satish Kumar is investigating the case.
