Kasargod, July 24: A woman died and her husband and son were injured after a bus collided into a bike in which they were moving. The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, July 23rd near new bus stand in Kasargod.
The deceased woman is identified as Raziya(26), wife of Haneef(35), resident of Anangur Bedira in outskirts of the city. Haneef and his son Amin have been injured and are admitted to a private hospital in Kasargod.
It is gathered that while Haneef was riding his bike along with his wife and son near old bus stand, this accident took place. The speeding bus which was moving from Neerchalu to Kasargod, collided to the bike. As an impact, Raziya was thrown on to the road. The bus moved over her and stopped after moving a few meters and later came to a halt. Raziya expired on the spot.
The locals rushed the injured to the hospital. The angry mob pelted stones at the window panes of the bus and damaged it, it is said.
The traffic between Mangaluru- Kasargod was disrupted for over an hour after the incident.
The police rushed to the spot and took the situation under control.
Haneef is employed in the Gulf region and had visited his native to for Id-Ul_Fitar. Recently their new house warming ceremony had taken pace, it is learnt.
The city traffic police have registered a case.
