Mangaluru, July 23: A man has reportedly lost Rs 8.5 lakhs to the thieves in Hampankatta in the city. The incident happened near Syndicate bank at Hampanakatta on Tuesday, July 21st.
It is said that, Abdul Aziz along with his wife had been to Hampanakatta in city with his wife. He had parked his car and sent his wife to the bank. While he was waiting, two men approached him and said that his cash was lying behind the car.
On listening this, Abdul Aziz got down from his car and went behind his car. One among the two persons accompanied him.
Utilizing this chance, another man ran away with the bag which contained Rs 8. 5 lakhs which was kept inside the car. Immediately the other man also escaped.
A theft case has been filed at the Bunder police station and investigations are underway.
