Muslim central committee felicitates newly elected MLAs and ministers

Mangalore, June 23:  On behalf of Muslim central committee®Dakshina Kannada and Udipi district, a felicitation programme has been organized on June 23, Sunday at Town Hall to felicitate newly elected MLAs and ministers.



On the occasion, Ramanatha Rai, minister for forest, ecology and environment and Mohiuddin Bava, MLA from Mangalore north constituency have been felicitated by Mangalore Quazi, Al Haz Thwaka Ahmed Musliyar Al Azhari on behalf of the committee. Remaining MLAs and ministers were remained absent due to their personal reasons.




On the occasion, a memorandum urging minister to make an arrangement for suitable compensation to the people, who have been badly affected due to the implementation of new Nitaqat labour law in Saudi Arabia, Construction of Haz Bhavan, Burial land for Mangalore Muslim community as there is a scarcity at the present and opening of Tippu Sultan University and among other problems, has been submitted to the minister.



While speaking on the occasion district-in-charge said in his address that Dakshina Kannada District is an intelligent people’s district. Here in the district, minority communities, backward groups are in abundance apart from being social and financial problems.



He further added that programme like this, which gives prominence to harmony in the society has to be held in the future. Now this committee is working with great responsibily in the best interest of the society.



If, the people in the society live in harmony and with principle that we all are equal, then the society becomes beautiful, he said. For this reservation is important. Power of rights to be given to the community and committee should work efficiently on timely basis, he added.


Mohiuddin Bava, MLA, Mangalore north constituency, Kodijal Ibrahim, former mayor Ashraf and D M Aslam were present.
