Mangaluru, July 9: The muhurat ceremony for the upcoming Tulu movie ‘Jugari’, under the banner of 9 o’ Clock Creations was held at PVS Kalakunj near Bhagavathi temple here on Thursday July 9th.
The movie is directed by Anand P Raju, produced by Pammi Kodialbail and R Dhanraj.
Gangadhar Shetty Alake referred about the heavy showers during the muhurat and said, “I wish that the number of people who watch this movie is as much as the number of raindrops today.”
Karthik Banjan lead actor in the movie said, I was awarded with the State Award for the Kannada movie ‘Rikshaw Driver’ and this was due to the support I received from the people. I need the same kind of support for ‘Jugari’ film too.
Amith Rao, another lead actor in the movie urged the people to support him too as it was his first film.
Sandalwood actress Ragini Dwivedi said, I am happy that Tulu film industry is bringing many movies. She praised the people of Mangaluru for their immense support.
Speaking on the occasion, Kishore D Shetty, film producer, Tejaswi Raj Academy Counselling member, Mangaluru University and film director Sai Krishna wished well to the ‘Jugari’ film crew.
Former minister K Amarnath Shetty addressed the gathering said, many Tulu movies are coming up one after the other. This is a good indication, but there should not be any kind of competition between any two Tulu films. He insisted that the movies be released with gaps of three to four months, so the Tulu industry can be built in the right way.
Co-producer Dhanraj welcomed the guests and proposed the vote of thanks.
Naveen Chandra corporator, Amma Shambhavi, mother of co-producer Pammi Kodialbail, Rajesh D Shetty, Devadas Pandeshwar, Suraj Shetty and others were also present.
Actors like Karthik Banjan, Ester Noronha, Bhojaraj Vamanjur, Amith Rao, Naveen D Padil, Shobharaj, Santhosh Shetty, Gopinath Bhat, Arvind Bolar, Shobha Rai, Chethan Rai Mani, Satish Bandale, Saajan Shety, Aleesha and others are in the film.
The Tulu movie ‘Jugari’ is scheduled to be released by October end or first week of November.
