Specially abled boy B S Shivayogi tops SSLC with 606 marks

Mangaluru, May 28: B S Shivayogi, a specially abled boy by scoring 606 marks in his SSLC exams has astonished all by his wonderful feat. He studied at KHEP High School in Kadra of Karwar district.

Right from his birth, Shivayogi has impaired speech and hearing.

Out of 100, he has scored 99 in Mathematics, Hindi, and English; 95 in Science, 93 in Social Science and 121 out of 125 in Kannada.

Karavali Shree Kanyakaparameshwari Aryavaishya Sangha, Mangaluru has felicitated Shivayogi for his achievement on Wednesday, May 27th. It has decided to organize a grand felicitation program in Bengaluru in future to give a bright future for Shivayogi.

Honorary president of the association S R Kubera Shetty provided the details and said it is a matter of pride that for the first time in Aryavaishya Community, a boy has exhibited such an achievement. He has overcome his disabilities. We have planned to felicitate him in Bengaluru.

This talent awarding ceremony being organized by Aryavaishya Sabha, will be presided over by Vidhan Parishad president DH Shankaramurthy, he informed.

Mother’s encouragement:

Shivayogis Mother Naagarathna expressed her happiness over her sons achievement and said I was continually supporting his studies. Even he also had put his best efforts. I am happy that he has performed well. For his further education we have admitted him to a college in Dharwad. If the specially abled children are given good encouragement, even they will also achieve wonders. No one should neglect the specially abled children. They should also be given an opportunity to live said Nagarathna.

Shivayogi’s father BS Nagaraja Shetty also expressed happiness over his son’s achievement.

Shivayogi’s achievement is appreciable. Such students also need support from the society expressed the president of Aryavaishya sangha Dr N Uday Kumar.

Doctors have assured that Shivayogi’s ears problem can be corrected. But it may cost Rs 12 lakhs for the procedures. But the family is unable to meet the expense. Kubera Shetty requested that the doctors of the district and the state have to come forward and conduct free surgery on him.

We are not demanding money from any one. We request that any of the doctors come forward to conduct surgery on him and bestow him with the capability to hear. This matter will be pointed out in the talent awarding ceremony in Bengaluru, he said.
