Mangaluru, May 27: BJP district president, Prathap Simha Nayak addressing a press meet in the city on Wednesday May 27th said that a large mass among the citizens would vote in favour of BJP in the forth coming Gram Panchayat elections.
He said, citizens have lost faith on the state government. This will have an impact on the gram panchayat polls. BJP has campaigned well. We are confident that people will choose a majority of BJP-backed candidates in the gram panchayat polls.
He said, a recent survey done by a media has showed that 91% of the people are pleased with the Modi-led administration at the center. But in the state, 98% are dissatisfied with the Siddaramaiah-led government. This indicates that people will favour BJP in the gram panchayat polls, he added.
He alleged that the Congress government is interfering in police department’s affairs from Bengaluru to every rural corner in the state and even this lottery scam has taken place with it’s involvement.
He lauded BJP MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, and said as per a report by a Kannada daily, Nalin Kumar stands first in terms of utilizing MP funds for developmental activities. The district BJP congratulates the MP for this feat, he said.
