Pilgrim from Mangalore expired in Delhi: Minister Khader helps the family to bring the body to native.

Ullal, May 26: A woman Sumana Pai (60) from Ullal who had visited North India on a pilgrimage had expired due to ill health in a hospital there on May 24th.

Due to the humanity and timely action of Health and Family Welfare Minster UT Khader, the body of the deceased was brought to her native after the medical procedures, in a time span of two days.

Sumana Pai had joined the team of 15 pilgrims who left from Ullal, in Mangaluru led by Shridhar Kini who had been to North India including Haridwar. When the team reached Delhi, Sumana Pai fell ill. She was admitted to Sir Gangaram Hospital in Rajender Nagar, Delhi. She expired on May 24th, it is learnt.

After the incident, the family of Sumana Pai sought the help of Minister U T Khader to get the medical procedure done and also to bring the body back to Ullal. Minister Khader immediately responded to their request and sent his associates to the concerned hospital in Delhi to extend help.

With the help of the Doctors in the hospital the body of the deceased was brought via flight to Bengaluru and the last rights were performed in Ullal, informed Sumana’s family to the media.

Sumana Pai is survived by three daughters and a son.
