Mangalore, June 16: As a part of sixteenth anniversary of “Nammavaru”, Mysore Viprakoota Sangha has organized “Shodasha Sambrama and Sangeeta Sanje (musical night) on June 15, Saturday at city’s Town hall.
As a inaugurator of the function, Divakar Dongre Mala, Chief secretary of Akhila Karnataka Brahmana Maha Sabha said in his address that “Nammavaru”Mangalore will be stepping into sixteenth years of its existence.
Further he said here efforts are there and this sangha should shine for more than years and wished the sangha all round success.
Mysore is a cultural city and even coastal too not inferior to Mysore in terms of culture both are equally good and we are happy that we are going hand in hand and this can only be possible when love and affection is there. Now sangha is having a membership of 28,000 people and hope it will grow further, he said.
Raghavendra Shastri, Moktheshwara of Sharavu Ganapathi temple has presided over the function.
K Prabhakar Rao, K Anil, M R Vasudev have participated in the programme as chief guests.
T A Nagendra welcomed the gathering.
V Ramana,an actor in the drama field has been felicitated on the occasion.
A souvenir has been released to commemorate the occasion and from Shankar Shanbhog and team musical night( Sangeeta Sanje) which includes devotional songs,folk songs has been started at the end
