Lokayuktha raid on Mulki town panchayat engineer’s house and office, seize documents.

Mulki/Moodbidri, April 29: On the basis of secret information about the property gained by illegal means by the Mulki town panchayat engineer Padmanabha K, the Mangaluru and Udupi lokayuktha officials carried a joint operation and raided his office and house on Tuesday.

Six months ago, Padmanabha was transferred from Moodbidri townhall to Mulki town panchayat. The lokayukta officials raided his house at Jogi Nagar in Moodbidri at 6 am and inspected the bank documents and jewellery present in the house.

Later at 9.30 am they raided the engineer’s office in Mulky town Panchayat at Mulky Karand and inspected the files, laptop, documents placed inside the almairah and seized some documents.

The lokayukta official who gave the information about the raid said, based on a secret information that engineer Padmanabha has possessed assets than his income, a complaint was given by the Mangaluru Lokayukta Inspector Dileep Kumar. Hence,  led by Lokayukta DSP Vitala Dasa Pai, a raid was conducted by the Mangaluru and Udupi lokayukta officials. The files have been seized. After the investigations, a report will be submitted to the concerned officer, he said.

During the raid operation, Mangaluru Inspector Vijaya Prasad, Naveenchandra Jogi, Udupi inspector Mohan Kottari, Krishnanda and other staffs had participated.
