Subramanya-Kumaradhara road extension work meet on April 20th – Deputy Commissioner.

Subramanya, April 16: The second phase developmental works undertaken considering the overall development of Subramanya will gain momentum soon.

Under the master plan project, the road extension works of the stretch linking Kumaradhara to Subramanya temple will be begun immediately. An important meeting has been called on April 20th to discuss the same matter, said the Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim.

Speaking to the reporters after paying a sudden visit to Subramanya, and inspecting the spot related to undertake the works; the DC said, concerned to the vehicle parking in the car street in front of the temple, the government orders, will be implemented with immediate effect.

Demands were placed from a long time to ban vehicle parking in the car street at the temple. Vehicle parking in this area created inconvenience for the pilgrims who visit the temple. To fix this problem, this rule will be followed, he said.

Strict measures will be deployed near the gate at the junction in front of the temple and vehicle parking will be banned, he said. Vehicle parking is also a major issue at the temple for which solutions will be found to fix the problem. Strict measures have been taken to ensure vehicles are parked in the appropriate places, said the DC.

Transport department lacks interest:

Land has been reserved near Kalkunda military grounds to open depot which has also been inspected. We are also expending all sorts of supports keeping the land reserved, but the transport department is not showing interest to open depot here, said the DC.

There are complaints regarding the poor quality of the gramsadak works connecting Nadugallu-Kollamogru stretch road. I have travelled through the road and inspected it. Prima facie, nothisn can be said about the road quality. I have directed the concerned authorities to assess the quality, post will I will arrive at a decision, informed the Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim.

During his visit, DC Ibrahim inspected the land reserved for Kalkunda depot, Kumardhara, car street in front of the temple, and other areas. He expressed dissatisfaction on observing that the river Kumardhara is being polluted and directed the officials present at the venue to pay attention to it.

Shiradi Ghat road to be opened from June 1st:

Speaking about the Shiradi Ghat stretch works, the DC said the first phase works of the stretch will be completed by May 31st and the road will be opened for traffic as soon as the first phase works are over.

On this occasion deputy CEO at the temple Ravindra, Assistant Executive Engineer of Public Works Department, HR Nanjegowda,  master plan overseeing member Shvaram Rai, Gram Panchayat member Harish Inchady, Krishnamurthy Bhat, Udaya Nuchila and others were present.
