Mangaluru, April 15: strangers who approached a woman in a motor bike have escaped after snatching the gold chains from woman’s neck.
A woman named Shalini Bhat was conversing with her friend near Mukhya Prana Temple at around 8.20 pm. Meanwhile, three persons who were travelling by a bike approached her in the pretext of asking the way to reach Kudroli.
When Shalini Bhat was guiding them the route, one among the trio snatched two gold chains along with mangalasuthra and they fled the venue. The gold lost was valued at Rs 4.8 lakhs.
A case stands registered with Mangaluru North police. Investigations are underway.
