MANGALORE: Make A Difference, non-profit that works with children living in shelter homes and orphanages, will be conducting a recruitment drive to select volunteers in the city on June 30.

As part of the recruitment drive, there will be a campaign at City Centre Mall, K.S Rao road, here on June 9.

Anjali Rao, a volunteer, said that the campaign will be organised in order to meet potential volunteers, have them register with the organisation and answer their queries. “Make A Difference is a non-profit that works with children living in shelter homes and orphanages across 23 cities in India. It is one of India’s largest youth volunteer networks. Make A Difference is a platform that empowers youth to become change leaders who drive positive impact and create self-sustaining communities. We are committed to provide equal opportunities for all children and our vision is that someday every child can learn and pursue their passion. We currently run an English Teaching, Library, Career Awareness and Personality Development Program,” she said.

Make A Difference was started in the city of Cochin, when a bunch of college students visited a shelter home and realized the need for quality education, for children at risk and that they deserve a fair shot at life, to be able to explore the world and achieve their dreams, she added.
