Mangaluru, April 3: Founder of Komals Group of Concerns, Mangaluru Mr Vitob S Nagvekar (86), rested in eternal peace on Friday April 3rd at his residence in Ladyhill here.
He is survived by two sons and three daughters.
Nagvekar was awarded ‘Guru Seva Niratha’ by Sri Bharathiteertha Swamiji of Shringeri Jagadugur Math and ‘Vaishya Ratna’ by Sri Vamanashram Swamiji, Haldipur Math of Vaishya Samaj.
He rendered his service at Dongerkery Shree Venkataramana Temple for a long time. He was the chief editor of ‘Guruvani’, a monthly religious magazine published by Haldipur Guru Math and served as a president of Vaishya Education Society.
He was also the president of Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and he was a renowned personality in Mangaluru due to his philanthropic nature and social services.
On Saturday April 4th at 10 am, his last rites will be held at Bolar crematorium.
